Marjorie Weber Schaeffer is a graduate student in the Developmental Psychology program at the University of Chicago working with Dr. Sian Beilock. She graduated from Wellesley College with honors in Psychology and a minor in Education Studies. Previously, she taught elementary school as part of Teach for America in St. Louis. She is interested in the role parents and teachers play in the development of children's math attitudes and performance. She is additionally interested in the impact of expectations and anxiety and on children's academic performance.
